Issue No. 6

It is March and spring is feeling like it has been here for a good while.

The light has been giving more of itself back and we are super thankful for it.
St. Patrick’s Day is happening this month and all things green will be sported around here.

Our wellness, longevity and bodywork packages are real and are already making humans feel cared for and taken care of. We are enjoying having them available and sharing them with all involved.

So here goes it, round 6.

But first- a favorite recent patient quote:

“I WANT TO PRIORITIZE MY HEALTH DESPITE EVERYTHING GOING ON IN MY LIFE.”

(R)eading: Historical fiction has been pulling at our heart strings lately. One of us has been reading The Women by Kristin Hannah and could not recommend it enough. It highlights Army nursing in the Vietnam War and all that was involved in trying to transition back home. It is a heavy read but oh so good and empowering.
(E)ating: As mainly busy, plant based eaters and business owners, it can be challenging at times to find fast and easy sources of good calories. We have been enjoying having Ora Organics So Lean &  So Clean protein powder on hand to add to our morning oats, smoothies, or even to a warm cup of almond milk or water  to make for a tasty hot chocolate of sorts.

Finding protein powder with nourishing nutrients that also tastes good can be tricky.

This one is a keeper.

(P)laying: Dr. O has been kettle bell-ing. She is 100% down to show you her moves the next time you are here in the office. We keep a few of them around in case any of us want to get a swing, snatch, clean, press, deadlift or squat in, in between all of the work and fun we have on a day to day basis. It is amazing what you can do with one piece of equipment.

(O)bsessing: We are obsessing over looking for little glimmers in our day. The small things that catch your heart, make you pause and feel loved and taken care of.

What is your glimmer today?

And- we cannot get over how nice it was to host our first quarterly event with Melissa Sundberg, an expert pelvic health physical therapist and owner of Alaska Pelvic Health & Wellness. We talked about all things sexual and pelvic health and had fun, too!

Check out this Instagram post to see it all in action.

(R)ecommending: We recommend going through one place in your home and giving it a revamp, look through and loving tidy. If you no longer need some of the items in that space, take it to one of our local donation spots and/or wrap it up and gift it to someone you know would love and use it. It is okay to have less and let things go, especially if it makes room for more meaningful-to-you things.

It has been several years since her book was all the rage but The Magical Art for Tidying Up by Marie Kondo can be a good refresh for this time of year. A decluttered space means less clutter around your mental health.

(T)reating: We vote you treat yourself to dinner with a friend; invite them over, try a new recipe and share in some laughter. The world can feel dark and heavy at times, but connecting with another human outside of our phones and social platforms can fill our hearts in ways we can often forget.

Who are you going to reach out to and invite over for some fun?!

We hope your March rocks in more ways than one!
