Spring is in the air and the snow is slowly melting.
Yay for season transitions!
So here it goes, round 20…
So here it goes, round 20…
But first- a favorite recent patient quote:
“ARE YOU INTO COLOR COORDINATION? CAUSE EVERYTHING IN HERE GOES WITH YOUR HAIR.”
(R)eading: The New Scientist Magazine has had our focus this month. It covers all aspects of science and technology. You can access it for free via the Libby app through the Loussac Library. An active library card is required.
(E)ating: This Creamy Cabbage Curry recipe is a keeper; great for non-meat eaters and easy to add meat to if wanted.
(P)laying: We have been playing with our kettlebells and treadmill during lunch breaks at the office. Here is a simple workout if you want to give it a whirl…
3-5 minute walk (+ arm swings, hip swings, leg swings)
3 Rounds:
10-12 kettlebell goblet squats
10-12 kettlebell bent over rows (each side)
10-12 kettlebell deadlifts
10-12 kettlebell strict press (each side)
10-12 kettlebell sit ups
3-5 minute walk (+ stretching)
(O)bsessing: We have been obsessing over a couple local and international grocery stores nearby: Mekong Market and Eastern European Store and Deli. Give them both a visit. It is a great way to slow down, go up and down the isles, express some curiosity and try something new. They are also great lunch or early dinner spots.
(R)ecommending: We recommend sitting outside before you head out the door for work and/or when you get home to breathe in some fresh air and hear the birds chirping. Like little humans, we need transition time, too.
(T)reating: Treat yourself to a MasterClass purchase and learn something new this spring. We have enjoyed learning from this platform for years. If you are too busy to sit and watch, play it in the background while you are working, doing home chores or frolicking about in the woods with your fur friend.
