Issue No. 21

The sunshine has come out more than once this week.

We are calling that a big win!

So here it goes, round 21…

But first- a favorite recent patient quote:

“I WISH I’D KNOWN ABOUT YOU SOONER!”

(R)eading: If you have not read “Remarkably Bright Creatures” written by Shelby Van Pelt, we highly recommend you do.

(E)ating: It is that time of year where grilling food and sharing in picnics is the cool thing to do. We have been enjoying watermelon. It is one of those foods that can easily go bad after a couple days on the counter so we recommend slicing it up and putting it in an air sealed container in the fridge for later and/or in the freezer to add into smoothies for a fun color, flavor and hydration boost.

(P)laying: One of us has been playing out on the trails with her new mountain bike. Singletrack Advocates and volunteers have really been working hard at making the trails ready. Check out their website for the latest and greatest updates.

(O)bsessing: We have been obsessing over the release of Devil Wears Prada 2 and plan to see it in the theater before the month ends. We like to think of the office space as our “Vogue.” And for the record, Dr. O’Connell does not verbally abuse or throw coffee on any of us.

(R)ecommending: We recommend registering for and attending the MTB for Women Festival at the Hilltop Chalet in Anchorage, AK on June 13th. It is going to be a great event and we will be there in the Vendor Village with our suitemate, DexaFit Alaska. If mountain biking has ever brought you interest, this is the place to start and get inspired. Check out their event page here.

(T)reating: The Strawberry Rhubarb juice at Market Juice is a gem and a “treat” worth nourishing your body with!

We hope your June has some sunshine in it!
