Issue No. 4

Happy 2025!

THE NEW YEAR IS OFFICIALLY HERE AND WE DEFINITELY WERE NOT 100% READY FOR IT.

If goals and resolutions are your thing, great.
If long term lifestyle changes are your thing but you don’t know where to start or need help with motivation, wonderful. We are very much here for both.

This is a love nudge to remember that sometimes putting your own skin in the game is essential.

Your health is an investment, an investment that matters, always.

We are now not only offering our original membership plans, but also wellness packages, too.
The packages are specially packed (pun-intended) with a specific amount of visits, set labs and intentional focus on specific goals related to women’s health, longevity and bodywork hopes and dreams.

Here goes it for our first REPORT of the year, round 4.

But first- a favorite recent patient quote: “I POOP LIKE A GOOSE.”

(R)eading: Winter is a whole other ballgame when it comes to hydration, especially if you are an active human and enjoy participating in different winter sports like hiking, skiing, running, biking, etc. Winter Hydration: Navigating Cold Weather, Altitude, and More is a great article written by Robb Wolf with LMNT. He goes into the details about why our bodies function differently in colder weather and how our thirst cues change, along with our hydration needs.

Give it a read.
And- if you don’t have time, scroll down to the bottom for a helpful recap with all the essential bullet points.

(E)ating: Dr. O recently purchased a membership with the Happy Pear Recipe Club and cannot recommend it enough. It has all the plant based vegan recipes you could ever need, along with different cooking tutorials and a community to be a part of, too. And- they have really great one-pan recipes for busy work nights.

The Happy Pear’s Instagram is a nice profile to follow, too.

(P)laying: Wordle is being played by some of us in the office and it has been fun. You can share how many solves it took you to guess the 5-letter word of the day with family and friends. It is a great way to exercise your brain and maybe even learn a new word or two.

The New York Times (Games) offers other word, puzzle and brain games, too; right now you can save 60% on a subscription, making it $20 for the entire year.

(O)bsessing: We have been obsessing over this Weleda product, Hydrating Body and Beauty Oil- Sea Buckthorn. This time of year, especially with the different weather and temperature changes we have been experiencing in A-town lately, can cause excessively dry skin. This oil, when rubbed into semi-wet skin after a bath or shower does wonders, beyond lotion.

Give it a try.

(R)ecommending: When was the last time you purchased new towels or bed linens? Yeah, we weren’t really sure of the answer to that either. So, here is your permission to do just that- go find a towel color or bed linen pattern you love. Your skin will love you for it.

Dr. O and her other half treated themselves to some top notch towels for their close-to-one-another birthdays.

(T)reating: We vote you treat yourself to a massage or acupuncture visit with one of our bodyworkers, whether you purchase a package or a single bodywork visit. This is a thought nugget: the package will allow you to better plan ahead for your future self and make it more cost-effective, too.

Go get it.

Thank you to everyone who made it to our Grand Opening! It was a great time and we would not be
where we are today without all of you and your belief in us and what you deserve in your health care journey.

We cannot wait for this year ahead!
